#12106 MR 4.F analysis of proof of resurrection

Not proof but credibility. There is a difference between the martyrdom of the apostles and the martyrdom of the nazis. The Apostles died for something that they saw. This meant that they knew for certain whether it was true or not. It is possible that they would die for a lie that they were making up, but it is so unlikely that we should assume they were telling the truth. The Nazis had not witnessed the Jews being made a lesser race, they were just told by someone that they were. The difference is that the Nazis died because of the faith that they had that someone else had told them the truth. The Apostles knew whether they were telling the truth or not.
